The Historical Institute collaborates with the universities of Saint Thomas Aquinas and of the Holy Cross of Rome
On Tuesday 17 March 2026 (at 3.00 pm, in the Álvaro del Portillo lecture theatre), a public session was held to present the abstracts selected as part of the call for abstracts aimed at PhD students, organised within the framework of inter-university collaboration between our University and the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas, in collaboration with the Instituto Histórico Provincia de Hispania.
The abstracts submitted were evaluated by a joint committee comprising professors from both universities. The selected contributions—divided between PhD students from both institutions—were presented during the meeting.
The initiative followed on from a successful event held last year at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas and aimed to foster scientific dialogue and the exchange of ongoing research among young researchers from different academic backgrounds.
The meeting thus provided an important opportunity for academic exchange, scientific growth and mutual enrichment within the context of doctoral studies.
Some of the papers presented will be published in the next issue of the journal Archivo Dominicano, due out later this year.
