The Historical Institute wishes to offer several resources to help researchers in their studies.

Undoubtedly the most important are its historical archives, located in Salamanca (AHPE), Valencia (AHPA) and Seville (AHPB). These locations correspond to the old provincial realities into which the Order of Preachers in Spain was divided for centuries. Documents from the 13th century to the mid-20th century can be consulted there.

Furthermore, in 2024 the historical archive of the Dominican monastery of Nuestra Señora de Montesión in Barcelona was donated to the Province of Hispania and is currently deposited at the headquarters of the Historical Institute.

Finally, as a legacy of the former Historical Institute of the Province of Spain, the documents of HIDEVA can be consulted.
