The Order of Preachers in the former Province of Betica
The Historical Institute periodically collaborates with the Sociedad Andaluza de Estudios Dominicanos in its annual conferences and publications on the history of the Dominicans in the former province of Betica.
The main objective of these meetings is to make known the history and the rich artistic heritage of the convents of friars, contemplative nuns and lay fraternities (former tertiaries), the study centres, exemplary personalities and their spiritual and literary legacy, the great devotions and any other facets that have left their mark on the society.
At present, ten conferences have been held and their final scientific contributions are available for consultation.
